Then there's the arbutus! I never knew such a tree existed until I moved to BC from Ontario. Some of the long leathery leaves fall every 3 years while the rest remain on the tree until it's their turn. The leaves that are preparing to fall turn yellow and make the tree look like it has bananas hanging up there. Nature is amazing!

Ha! Bananas! That's fascinating Ruth! I had no idea; arbutus are such glorious trees...it's worth seeing them alone to move to BC :c)
